Experience and Expertise:

I started my dog training journey with my own dog about 26 years ago. He was a Great Dane / Boxer mix who weighed 140 lbs. One day, not long after getting him, my wife was walking him through our neighborhood when he decided to chase a motorcycle that happened to be driving by. He ended up dragging my wife, skinning her knees, and almost getting free. At that point I was determined to find a way to get him trained properly. I decided to find a local dog trainer to help us get more control of him. The training I found was a group class that taught me the skills I needed to not only train my dog but to continue with the obedience as a lifetime habbit. About a year later I adopted another dog and was able to train her just as well as my Great Dane using the same training knowledge I had. It confirmed to me that the training method was very efficient and it was something that I really connected with. I started to feel like training dogs was something I really enjoyed and wanted to keep doing in a larger capacity. As time went by people couldn't help but notice how well trained my dogs were and started asking me to help them with their dogs. Over the next few years I helped train a few family members dogs as well as a few friends and neighbors dogs. After training about 4 or 5 dogs over a period of time with my basic training knowledge I confirmed to myself that training dogs was something that I really wanted to continue doing as it came very natural to me and was something that I really enjoyed doing. I then started doing a lot of reading, research and self training through other reputable trainers. Some of the trainers I followed originally included Cesar Millan, and Tom Davis. These days I follow and get a lot of my training knowledge from trainers that include, Garett Wing with American Standard Dog training, Tom Davis with Upstate Canine Academy, Michail Ellis from Leerburg, and Larry Krohn of Pak masters dog training, to name a few.

A few years ago I finally decided to start my own dog training business along side my full time career as a fire fighter. I have been a full time fire fighter for the last 14 years and I'm committed to providing the same mind set that I have while serving the community, to you and your pet while I'm working with you. Since the start of my business I've been continually learning and growing as I am always committed to getting better at my skills so I can serve and help as many dog owners and dogs as possible, to the best of my ability.

Over the past few years, while managing the business, I have gained extensive experience working with numerous dogs and their owners. With over 25 years of personal experience in dog training, I have dedicated my life to understanding and working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. This extensive experience has made me a confident and knowledgeable dog (and owner) trainer who can tackle a wide range of obedience skills and behavior challenges.
